It's hard to write a love story when you heart's been stepped on. Getting tangled up in a complicated love triangle is no way to start a relationship. Not to mention, a very first relationship. Hehe, I find it funny for someone like me to write about love never experienced before. The kissing, touching, the warm moments, the way I write about them, that's how I imagine them to feel. I've had small enough glimpse of what that feels like, but recently I've had heartache, and that just kills the fuzzy, lightheaded excitement of love.

I think that's why I like my character, Takeshi. I see a bit of him in me, and I in him. We're both learning about love, romance, and everything that comes along with them. Sometimes it's hard to understand the little things and yet easy to get the big picture and vice versa. The good thing is I'm returning to the idea of love the way I saw it before: fuzzy, lightheaded excitement. (and a whole lot more)
